Science Happens 4 Me advocates for the well-being of underserved minority students by developing networks of educational and STEM-based summer programs with local school systems in North Carolina.
Science Happens 4 Me is designed to enhance the learning potential of low-income, rural, and high functioning special needs students will scientific skills needed in the 21st century companies that enable students to complete and obtain employable skills in STEM based careers. Science Happens 4 Me offers STEM based activities and programs for underserved, minority, and disadvantaged students living within Research Triangle Park (RTP) Area and surrounding areas in North Carolina. Science Happens 4 Me offers summer programs for girls in STEM and a Basic Boot Camp for boys in Robotics throughout the school year.
We aim to help underserved students break through systematic barriers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), by encouraging them to explore careers in those fields.
Parental/guardian involvement is critical. We know that a student’s growth and development begin with the parental/guardian foundation. The core approach breaks into three dimensions that we call our core principles: Mentoring, Tutoring, and Field Experiences.
